Short story is a piece of literature that should be read in one sitting, fictitious writing and it should create a single effect or impression
Escape Fiction; written purely for entertainment. Gives pleasure
Interpretation Fiction; Written to broaden and deepen our life, provides understanding and pleasure
Immature Reader: They seek only escape, always expects an exiting plot and ending, read an only spesific matters.
An immature reader always expects an “element of surprise” which makes them immature . There isn’t nothing wrong with wanting some escapism, in fact there are some masterpieces that done it right, while holding a good balance, such as; Peter Pan, Treasure Island..
Mature Reader: Takes deeper pleasure in fiction that deals more with life.
It leaves out the description, analysis of the minor or detailed events and focuses on the major happenings.
But the events that are put together, shoukd be still linked (Cause and Effect) (Causality)
